It is our mission to maintain the high standards for safety and cleanliness that customers expect of Hertz. In addition to practicing preventative measures to reduce the spread of germs within our facilities, all our vehicles go through a rigorous, multi-step cleaning process for each rental. We remain vigilant in upholding these practices and will take additional precautions as recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and by the "Sanitary Measures for the resumption of activities in the Tourism sector –15th June 2020" put in place by the Mauritius Tourism Authority to minimize the risk to our customers and employees.
Temperature check before starting any activity/
rental. When temperature of 37.8 or more is identified, access to the
vehicle/ premises will be refused and guest/ staff member will
immediately be referred to the nearest local health office.
Cleaning and sanitizing of vehicles' high-touch
areas (such as door handles, gear lever, handles, seats and any
information tools) before and after any guest/ staff uses the vehicle.
Cashless transactions are encouraged.
Wearing of disposable mask by guests/ staff in public places.
All staff have been coached to comply with the guidelines, hygiene measures, obligation to wear masks and documentation have been handed out.
The Tourism Authority of Mauritius has implemented a series of compulsory health measures to activate the recovery of tourism activities. Tourist stakeholders now have to abide by the new protocols to better service their future guests.
These measures are in compliance with the "Sanitary Measures for the resumption of activities in the Tourism sector –15th June 2020" by the Mauritius Tourism Authority and have been based on the guidelines of the World Health Organisation and the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
These guidelines are subject to change at any time depending on the evolution of the pandemic.
